The acclaimed composer Dave Hanson has written a jazz violin concerto dedicated to Claude Sim. The piece is a vehicle for the violin, a launching pad for improvisation, and contains hints from the bebop era. The work will be given its premiere with Eric Bertoluzzi and the Up Close and Musical ensemble. More information can be found at www.englewoodarts.org
